MRP was pleased to have helped longtime client the Diplomatic Reception Rooms at the U.S. State Department bring their exceptional new book, America’s Collection: The Art & Architecture of the Diplomatic Reception Rooms at the U.S. Department of State, to life. The DRR’s 5,000 works of American fine and decorative art form an extraordinary museum collection, and the story of how this suite of 42 period rooms came to be in the 1960s is fascinating and inspirational.

This sumptuous volume has already been widely recognized in the field. It is the winner of NYC’s Big Book Award in Fine Arts and was named American Book Fest’s Best Art Book. Since its release date in September the book has been reviewed by the New York Times, Bloomberg, and CNN, as well as a number of art related outlets. It features a foreword by former Secretary of State John Kerry, an essay by Pulitzer prize winning historian Stacy Schiff, and contributions by prominent curators, architects, and cultural writers.
